deeJUMP is a full-featured and easy-to-use desktop GIS for presenting, creating and manipulating geodata. Compared to a lot of licensed-based products, deeJUMP is based on open standards and has no depencencies to proprietary formats. For many systems, time-consuming introductions and trainings are necessary -- with deeJUMP, you can start directly.
deeJUMP is 100% Java-based and runs on Windows and Linux as well. deeJUMP wasis founded on theJava Unified Mapping Platform, a well-known Open Source Project for geospatial data processing. JUMP has been extended in regard to the Support of Web Map and Web Feature Serices by the deegree framework. It is the perfect desktop GIS for modern spatial data infrastructures.
